The Invent Your Saturdays is a series of high performance training workshops for the aspiring Inventor.The workshop covers 12 intense hands on training workshops on the topics of electronics, mechanical systems, construction & fabrication and using all sorts of tools & equipment. Students are taught with the goal to make them a complete and capable inventor.

Final Project: The students will build a functional hobbyist-class Drone as part of their Final  Project while learning the underlying technologies.

  • Program Curriculum


    Final Project:

    The students will build a functional hobbyist-class Drone as part of their Final Project while learning the underlying technologies.


    Equipment & Tools I: Hand Tools
    Students will learn about the types, and correct handling of, various hand tools and use these to create their own unique projects.

    Equipment & Tools II: Power Tools
    Students will learn about the types, and correct handling of, various power tools and use these to create their own unique projects.

    Fabrication I: Adhesives and Bonding Agents
    Students will learn about different types of adhesives and materials compatible for bonding with certain types of adhesives, safety precautions, tapes and their types used for sealing bonding and binding.

    Fabrication II: Modelling with Foam
    Students will learn the basics of utilizing different types of foam, hot-wire cutting, bonding, and creating their own models and structures.

    Fabrication III: Hardeners & Fasteners
    Students will learn about different types of hardware and fasteners, tools used, metallurgy and types of materials that can be fastened with certain types of fasteners.

    Basic Electronics I: Intro to Electronics
    Students will learn to use the breadboard and simple techniques to create working electronic circuits and gadgets. They will develop an understanding of basic circuit components like resistors, capacitors, transistors, led’s etc.

    Basic Electronics II: Intro to Soldering
    Students will learn how to use a soldering iron and conduct simple track-making and component soldering exercises to create working projects.

    Advanced Electronics I: Radio Telemetry
    Students will learn the basics of radio frequencies and telecommunication fundamentals and learn to construct their own radio receiver.

    Advanced Electronics II: Mechatronics
    Students will learn the essentials of servo mechanisms, controllers and power systems and construct their own mechatronic devices.

    Mechanics I: Gears, Pulleys, Levers & Sprockets
    Students will understand the basics of mechanics and kinematics through the use of gears, pulleys, levers and sprockets. They will design and construct their own simple machines to demonstrate the concepts they have learnt.

    Mechanics II: Internal Combustion Engines
    Students will learn the basics of IC engine theory, operating parameters and operate and take measurements on a miniature aircraft IC engine.

    Mechanics III: Jet Turbine Engines
    Students will learn the basics of aircraft gas turbine theory and operation. They will operate an actual turbine and learn to take parametric measurements.

    In case you are unable to do either, you can request a pickup of the fee through our rider. Please note that the rider will accept only the full amount and will return you a receipt of the transaction as well.
