KITE aims to not only benefit its graduates but the entire community. It has a state of the art campus, with faculty who has plenty of industry experience. Students who want to become social entrepreneurs will receive guidance from mentors who will assist them in setting up their own pilot projects. By producing graduates who will be able to contribute positively to society and setting up an ecosystem which will facilitate entrepreneurial thinking, KITE will have a provincial and national impact.
We will create a critical mass of well-rounded citizens with a “can-do” attitude who thrive in multidimensional, local and global societies. No doubt it is beneficial when a system produces a few hundred graduates every year, who are well-educated and highly competitive in the global landscape. However, in a country of 180 million people, such small numbers will not solve Pakistan’s problems; it will never create a large and educated workforce. What you need is a reasonably high quantity of students who have received quality education, have the right attitude and are aware of the local realities with a reasonably good understanding of the evolving new global world order. With increasing globalization, this is becoming a key requirement for successful nations. Within 25 years, KITE expects to have a student population of fifty thousand on campus and multiple folds more via its online programs. The graduates of KITE will be locally relevant, internationally competitive so they will have options of international placements, and will be able to significantly influence the local set-up.
